Both the “Sweet Jerk sauce” and the “Sweet chili sauce” have a shelf life of 3 years unopened and stored in cool dry place.
Generally all of our sauces are good to eat throughout the respective shelf life when opened and refrigerated or stored at room temperature.
Where should Scotch Bonnet Grill sauces be stored?
Our sauces should be stored in a cool dry place such as a pantry or cabinet.
All sauces can be refrigerated after opening but is not required.
The color may change when the bottle is open, but the product will not spoil.
Why does Scotch Bonnet Grill Pepper sauce darken over time?
Scotch Bonnet Grill does not use harsh preservatives so overtime the sauce will change color.
Once the bottle is opened, the pepper sauce color may change overtime but the product will not spoil.
Refrigeration will slow down the process.
Additionally you will notice that the fermentation of the sauce will make the sauce taste better over time.

Scotch Bonnet is the type of pepper that is used to make our sauces taste so good. Jamaicans refer to the Habanero’s cousin as Scotch Bonnet Pepper.

Our Jerk seasoning is only made with natural preservatives so over time the seasoning may clump or dry. Have no fear, the Jerk seasoning is still good and is actually fermenting for a better taste.
